Story:

"It was just another ordinary day...until Sonic, hero of justice, is accosted by a secret military force code-named G.U.N Escaping the confines of a high-security helicopter, Sonic leaps down into the city streets in an effort to flee from his captors. Suddenly, a mysterious black hedgehog appears in front of him, grasping a Chaos Emerald in his hands. Meanwhile, across the globe, unexplained incidents occur following the declaration of world conquest by Eggman himself. Once aware of the connection between Shadow and Dr. Eggman, Sonic begins his quest to stop their evil plan, helped along the way by his old friends: Tails and Knuckles."

"While searching for a top secret weapon known only as 'Shadow,' the evil genius, Dr. Eggman, penetrates the security of a high-level military base. Double Running Speed
In a 2 player action race Sonic and Shadow can activate a glitch that will increase their running speed. To activate the glitch get between 80-89 rings and be sure to have the speedup available, when you’re ready stand in front of a point marker and then press B button to activate your speedup, directly afterwards run through the gate. Your character will now run twice as fast. To remove the glitch exit the level or select "No" after the race is over. You will however go slower when grinding or boarding.

Double Grinding and Boarding speed
In a 2 player action race Sonic and Shadow can activate a glitch that will increase your grinding and boarding speed. To activate the glitch get between 80-89 rings and be sure to have the speedup available, when you’re ready stand in front of a point marker walk through and then press B button to activate your speedup as soon as the lightspeed shoes appear. Your character will now run at half speed, but will board and grind faster. To remove the glitch you must exit the level or select "No" after the race is over.

Chao duplication
In order to do this you need Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, a link cable, and a GameBoy Advance. Take a chao from either sonic game and put it in the chao transporter WITHOUT a game in your GBA. When your chao is transported it will be a copy and the real one will remain in the garden you got him from. Now upload the other sonic game with your GBA still hooked up and go to its chao garden. Go to the transporter and you will be able to get the same chao you put in the GBA. Now you have 2 of the same chao. This trick is great if you want multiple copies of the gold and silver chao from Sonic DX. NOTE: Any animal parts of your chao will return to normal in the other garden, but hero and dark chao stay hero or dark.

Infinite Ring Trick
Here is a way to get infinite rings. Buy any item (as expensive as you can afford) and drop it in the garden. Now leave Chao World and Save. Go back to Chao World and get your item, and take it to the Black Market and sell it. Now reset your game by pressing X, B, and Start at the same time. The next time you enter the garden, the item will be there again. Repeat the last four steps (Starting with going back to chao world) until you are happy with the ring amount.

Invincible Amy
This only works in multiplayer. You must first kill Amy, now quickly before she re-spawns, Hold the B-button. If you continue to hold it, you will become invincible and kill any other player that touches you. This will only last as long as you hold the B button down. If you let go of the B button you have to do the glitch again.


Unlock Main Theme
To unlock the "Main Theme" in Sound Test, you have to complete all three stories (Hero, Dark and Last). Select 1P mode, Last story, and fight the Final Hazard again. After the Credits, go to Stage Select mode, choose any mission and finish it. Once that's done, go to the Sound Test menu and select the "Character" option. There you will see "Main Theme" above the "Theme of Sonic".

Clean Pause
Pause the game and hold the X and Y buttons to get a clear pause screen.

Unlockables	How to Unlock
2 Player Kart Race	Complete both Route 101 and Route 280 levels.
Boss Attack Mode	Complete either the Hero or the Dark side story modes. In this Time Attack mode you will be able to fight each boss from either the Hero or the Dark side consecutively.
Dark Chao Garden	Raise a Dark Chao with one of the three ''Dark'' characters. When it evolves (creates a tear-shaped ''cocoon'') into its dark form a stair case will appear in the Chao lobby descending downward.
Diamond and Onyx Chao Races	Win at least one race from Aquamarine, Garnet, Peridot, and Topaz Chao Races to unlock these races.
Green Hill Zone	WCollect all 180 Emblems to unlock a 3D version of Green Hill Zone.
Hero Chao Garden	Raise a Hero Chao with one of the three Hero characters. When it evolves (creates a tear-shaped ''cocoon'') into its hero form a stair case will appear in the Chao lobby ascending upward.
Hidden Secretary Theme	When you are on the Theme Select screen, rotate the Control Stick Clockwise until you hear a chime. Now you will be able to select the Secretary Theme.
Jewel races	Win all four of the original races
Kart Racing Game	In the Hero and Dark Side story complete both Tails’ and Rouge’s driving missions.
Last Stage	In order to play the actual last and final stage of this game, finish both Hero and Dark side story games. Once this is done, Last Stage menu selection will be available between the Hero and the Dark Side selections.
Level 4 2-player games	Beat either Final Rush or Final Chase in the Hero or dark side, and a level 4 game should appear in 2-player mode
More Karts	Complete every mission for each character and you'll unlock the new kart for them. To access the new kart press Up.
2 Player Costumes	Complete every mission as a character with ‘A’ ranking and that character will obtain a new costume to use in 2P Battles.
Scene Select	Beat the story
Super Level on Chao Karate	Complete all three of the original difficulties in Chao Karate using the same Chao and that Chao will now have access to a Super level.
All Boss Attack	To unlock the All Boss Attack, you must completed the Hero Story, Dark Story and the Last Story. Once this is done you will be able to see the All option under the boss menu available in the 1 player menu. The All Boss attack is a time attack where you face all the bosses from the game in succession with no breaks.
Hero and Dark Races	You first must have the Hero and Dark Gardens unlocked. Once that’s done, you will have to beat all the Beginner's Races to unlock two special race modes.
Jewel and Challenge Chao Races	Beat all three levels of the Beginner Races (Crab Pool, Stump Valley, Mushroom Forest, and Block Canyon) to unlock both the Jewel Race and Challenge Race.

'A' Ranking the Alternative Way
To get the A rank for a mission you must collect every golden ring in the level without losing them. If you do this, you should get a 'Perfect' stamp on the Ring Count and a guaranteed 'A' rank.

Upgrades without the Work
After upgrading your character exit the level. When leaving the level go to stage select and go to any level that is easy and quick enough for you complete. After completing the level the game will save your upgrade.

Wake a sleeping Chao
To wake a sleeping chao without it getting pissed off at you, you must stand right next to it and whistle until it wakes up.

Frankenchao
So you want to bring back to life a chao that you cherished so much, eh? Well you first have to have your other chaos mate until an egg appears. Next is to take some chaos drives and form a circle with them around the egg. Now wait till the egg turns white with yellow on top of it. Once that happens bring a chao over and place it near the egg. Now watch as the little guy play God, and when it’s done you will now have your old chao back with every animal piece still attached.

Kindergarten Waiting Game
So you placed your chao in Kindergarten and you don’t feel like waiting. Well, exit chao world and go play four levels, after you completed the fourth level you should be able to pick your chao up.

Devil Chao
You must reincarnate a Chao twice. After its second reincarnation, give it every type of animal, including Imaginary and Ghost ones. Now, go to the black market to get a Dark Fruit and wait until it evolves.

Angel Chao
You must reincarnate a Chao twice. After its second reincarnation, give it every type of animal, including Imaginary and Ghost. Now, go to the black market to get a Hero Fruit and wait until it evolves.

Light Chaos Chao
You must reincarnate a Chao twice. After its second reincarnation, give it every type of animal, including Imaginary and Ghost. Now, go to the black market to get a Chao Fruit and wait until it evolves.

Big the Camera Hog Cat
Let’s face it someone on Sonic Team likes the big guy, and decided to place him all throughout the game, even in the cut scenes! To see Big in some of the cut scenes you need to press both the A and B buttons rapidly until you see him. Big can also be spotted outside the cut scenes too, how many can you find?

Night Chao
Have a Dark and Hero character give the Chao lots of purple system animals or purple chaos drives until it becomes a Neutral Chao. Now you choose one hero or dark character to take care of the Chao. After it first evolves, keep giving it purple Chaos drives.

Ghost Chao
Give your Chao lots of bats using a dark character until it evolves.

Sonic Chao
Have a Dark and Hero character give the Chao lots of green system animals or green chaos drives until it becomes a Neutral Chao. Now you choose one character to take care of the Chao. After it first evolves, keep giving it green Chaos drives.

Dragon Chao
Have a Dark and Hero character give the Chao lots of red system animals or red chaos drives until it becomes a Neutral Chao. Now you choose one hero or dark character to take care of the Chao. After it first evolves, keep giving it red Chaos drives.

Alien Chao
Have a Dark and Hero character give the Chao lots of yellow system animals or yellow chaos drives until it becomes a Neutral Chao. Now you choose one hero or dark character to take care of the Chao. After it first evolves, keep giving it yellow chaos drives.

Chao Splicing
You can the facial expression of your Chao shake the egg for a certain amount of time. If you shake the egg for 6 seconds you get a 'V' smiley face, and 10 seconds will get you no expression at all. There are other expressions, but you have to shake the egg on your own to find out.

NiGHTS Cameo...again
Sonic’s very first level “City Escape” shows ads of a NiGHTS Hotel that has recently been built in the city. Now the question is where its location is! The answer is can be found on Radical Highway, when you are playing as Shadow.

Silver and Gold, Silver and Gold Chao
To get these jewel chaos you must first own a GBA, a copy of Sonic Advance, a GBA link-up cable, and a copy of this game. Now when you are playing in the Tiny Chao Garden hit the L button to open up the shop menu, and see if you are able to buy either the a silver Chao egg or a gold Chao egg. The gold egg is worth 1000 Rings and the Silver 500, so make sure to save up. Once you get the egg(s) hook the GBA up to your GameCube and go into the Chao garden and head over to the download station to upload the egg(s) you just bought into the Chao garden.

Flaming emoticon ball
To get a blue flame Chao you must have at least 125 emblems. Now head over to the Black Market with a hero character and buy a lime green egg. Take the egg into the Hero garden and hatch it by rocking. Once it has hatched feed it a Sea Monster located in the Hidden Base maze and head back to the Black Market and buy a Chao Fruit. Go back to the garden and make the Chao eat the entire fruit, before going back to buy a Hero Chao Nut. When the Chao finishes the entire nut the ball above its head will be a blue and orange flame.

Transparent Chao
You first need to have either a Silver or Gold Chao, how to get one has already been explained. Once you have one of those guys go buy a Shiny Chao egg from the Black Market, hatch it, raise it, and then breed it with the Silver or Gold Chao. Remember you can only get Jewel Chaos from Sonic Advance. When the two breed and the egg hatches, the newborn Chao will be a light green color and transparent.

Psychotic Bully Chao
If you’re feeling cruel enough to create this monster you must first get a Dark Chao in the Dark Garden and give it five Dark Fruits. Now when you whistle your Dark Chao will simply pretend to sleep, and will start running all over the place, and start beating up your other chaos with an evil grin on his face.

Liberty Chao
To get this patriotic Chao you must follow these steps. You must first hatch a Chao from a normal blue spotted white egg. Now choose whether you want it be a dark or hero version, by choosing either a Hero or Dark character. After that’s out of the way feed your Chao only one specific Chaos Drive color system (i.e. All red chaos drives). Also make sure your Chao earns either a Hero or Dark badge, it depends on which kind of Liberty Chao you are trying to get. The Chao itself can have multiple badges, but make sure you get the correct badge for the Chao or it won’t work (a Hero Liberty Chao will have to earn a Hero badge and vise versa). Keep feeding it that specific Chaos Drive system and it will eventually evolve, and then grow a head with a star shape effect to it, now wait till it evolves. When it does the Chao’s cocoon will be pink, and then when it is reborn you’ll have a Liberty Chao in your garden.

Immortal Chao
Start off with a normal Chao egg, the white egg with blue spots, and hatch it normally. Now feed it only Chao Nuts and treat it nicely with both Hero and Dark characters until its first evolution stage. The cocoon will be in the shape and color of a neutral Chao’s head. When it’s done your Chao will look baby blue once again. Perform the same tasks as before until it evolves a second time. When its done it should still look blue, if it doesn’t you did something wrong. Now here comes the fun part, you must find one type of every single animal in the game and give it to the Chao. Now it’s time to choose what type of Chaos (light) Chao you want. If you want a neutral Chaos Chao give it a regular Chao Nut. Now if you want a Dark Chaos Chao give it a Dark Fruit. However if you want the Angle Chaos Chao feed it a Hero Fruit.

Ultimate Chao
To get this type of Chao you must first create an immortal Dark or Angle Chaos Chao. Now feed it every single animal in the game, and wait for the transformation to happen. When it finally goes into its cocoon to evolve out will come either an Ultimate Dark Chao or Ultimate Hero Chao. It all depends on how you raised your Chaos Chao. The Ultimate Dark Chao will have a blue flame above its head, horns, and huge wings. The Ultimate Hero Chao will have a bright glowing halo over its head, pink glowing legs, and arms.
