Cheats
Sonic the Hedgehog Budget Cut or Pimped Out
To play the original US version, which lacks moving clouds and rippling water effects, access the info screen for Sonic the Hedgehog and press Up, Z, Down, Z, Left, Z, Right, and Z. To play the later version of the Japanese release with the fixed spike bug that caused you to continue to take damage even when you're flashing, access the info screen and press Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Up, Down, Left, and Right.
Flicky: Level Select
Hold Up, the B button, the X button, and the Start button when you start a game; then released the buttons when you are at the round menu, and press up or down to change the round number.

To unlock Blue Spheres you must load Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic 3D Blast 20 times each. If you have Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II or Sonic Adventure DX saved on your memory card, the Blue Sphere game is unlocked automatically.
Unlock Knuckles in Sonic 2
To unlock Knuckles in Sonic you must load Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball 20 times each.
Unlock Sonic 3 & Knuckles
To unlock Sonic 3 & Knuckles you must load Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles 20 times each.
Unlock Flicky
To unlock Flicky you must load Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine 30 times. If you have Sonic Adventure 2 Battle saved on your memory card, the Flicky game is unlocked automatically.
Unlock Ristar
To unlock Ristar, load all 11 games 20 times each.
